Another great weekend comes to a close ...

My friend Cynthia nudged me toward trying a blog ... and here we are ... first time.

Me ...

Vixen and Jemima ...
Did you just say squirrel?

Took the furkids to work with me Friday - much to the delight of the folks in the office - and left before noon to head out of town.  As fate would have it, we ran into my 'son', who was also leaving work early.  It seems his new baby was on its way into this world!

Headed south to Fresno, easy trip, no traffic.  Sweet!  Stopped at Cynthia's, and we loaded up all the pups and headed to Geri Lu's Games Nights in Elderwood.  Wild fun!  Beautiful place.  Setting sunlight on the surrounding mountains, and so very quiet ... except when Vixen ran, of course.  She has a lot to say.

Late night, and up the next morning to a hearty breakfast.  Loaded the four aussies up again and headed to Madera for a rattlesnake aversion clinic. Happy to report that all 4 dogs now respect rattlers, and none would pass the final snake when called.  YES!!

This one to the right looks like the last snake they had to deal with; none would come when called.  Instead, after some hesitation, they went waaaaay around.  All the snakes are muzzled, as you can see here.  For more info see www.rattlesnakeaversion.com.  They are gentle and effective.

Back to Fresno for more visiting, before packing up and heading home late afternoon.  With the help of an audiobook and a vanilla latte, another easy trip. Thank the Road Gods.

Awoke this morning to a text that my 'granddaughter' was born at 3:16am.  Welcome, Kylie!!  And that's where I went this afternoon.  Got to see her beautiful tiny self, and her happy, tired parents.  My heart is full.
