Dreaming of Wizardry

After the pilgrimage to Tennessee and back, it was about work.  Just like that - two weeks of travel and trials, and then back to work.  So rude.  I'm grateful for my job ... and the segue wasn't easy.  That, and some major catch up around the house last weekend.  Wall-to-wall catch-up:  house, yard, laundry, wardrobe swap, sheets swap to flannel, curtain swap to insulated, paperwork, dog fud.  Made a dent.

Sharks need beauty rest too

Gratefully broke all that up with a Vixen lesson at Heart Dog on Saturday afternoon with Coach Kathleen.  She wore her little self out.  Not an easy thing to do.

And now ... we have CAMP to look forward to!  The fun just never ends!  In just a few days we're going to Power Paws Agility Camp!!  It's my first time and I can't wait.  Just the Vixenator and the Lizzard (her little sister Lizzie), Mona and me. And a bunch of other agility zealots.  Jemima gets to hang at Camp Nichols with Uncle Doug and her brother Sunny.  She's loves it there!  Fun for everyone!

Great logo!
This year's theme is Harry Potter - perfect since I listened to all the books on last year's epic trip to Texas for the Nationals.  Can't wait to learn about the dark arts, spells, divination, apparating (faster YPS, right?), quiddich, port keys  ... hopefully no blast-ended skrewts ...

Did someone say blast?  Photo by Sarah Hitzeman

... although I suspect we could give those buggers a run for their money.

Evil evil dremel

The preparations have begun.  The dreaded dremel came out last night.  My girls get their nails done  weekly in the comfort of their own home.  On the bed.  I hold their paw over a flashlight beam and can see the quick clear as day.  They're good about it.  They tolerate the necessary evil.

Heaven in a jar

Tonight's tools also included some gelato for the manicurist.  Fudge Brownie, to be exact.  Damn.

More packing to do.  Always so much more to do.  And more work.  But hey it's a short work week because we're going to CAMP!!!  For three plus days!  Agility wizardry, here we come!

Rest up, Littles

Must remember to pack the wand!
