This flying Sheltie needed no broomstick |
First session: Professor Rosanne Demascio. Obstacle Commitment Spells. ''Learn how to get ahead of your dog on the quidditch course by leaving at the right time after each obstacle cue.'
I might have gotten ahead once in the drills, but there's definitely hope! We learned stuff like how to train the dog to send to an obstacle while we're moonwalking, as in backwards. Or rather, how to ensure a commitment from the dog so we can get the hell out of Dodge in whatever direction. I want this. Period.

Let's try that piece again |
Session 2: Professor of Charms, Desiree 'Spell'eman. 'Gain a better understanding of "the ideal path of the dog" ... (and) be better equipped to accurately and efficiently direct your dog on course.'
And how. I don't think I got near 'accuracy ' or 'efficiency' because I was trying hard to keep up with my hellbent for leather dog, but I know what I need to work on: besides tighter turns, speed. Attaining warp speed might help.
Session 3: Quidditch Gold Medalist Ashley Deacon. Magical Powers of Snakes and Ladders. Otherwise known in the agility world as serpentines and threadles. At the aforementioned warp speed, of course.
I loved this one. We f-l-e-w. I can keep up with Vixen when she's running a curvy path and I'm running straight-ish. Wheeee class! Whoop!
Dinner was offered to all the participants tonight. Per my usual modus operandi, I'd had enough and bailed for the quiet of the room. I took both girls with me so Mona could chill. We start at 7am tomorrow so we can try to be done before any rain might hit. Grateful for the extra hour of sleep tonight. Turn clocks back! One more day! Zzzzzzz time ...but first ... camera!

This is my first time at Camp. Have I said that? I'm so glad I came. What a treat!
