The Magic Box

I heard once that dogs do not comprehend that their humans can actually drive a car. They don't get that when they get in the car; and that when their humans get in the front seat and turn the key, press pedals and turn the wheel, that they are actually operating the car.  They just don't go there.

Instead, they think we all load into a Magic Box and end up somewhere else.

Well I think it's safe to say that my girls had no idea when they got into the Magic Box last Tuesday morning that they'd be in the damn thing so long.  We were magically let out at coffee shops with grassy spots, desert landscapes, grassy landscapes, a different bedroom each night, cross-country p-mails ... omigosh.

Occasionally someone would hand FOOD in through the window.  And wish us a nice day!

This morning we left Russellville AR around 8am, had lunch with a dear friend in Memphis, and arrived in Shelbyville TN around 5 tonight.

And so the Magic Box stopped at a huge, happening place with rings and grassy areas and stalls and agility stuff and grooming tables and blow dryers and golf carts and people and AUSSIES EVERYWHERE!

And then finally stopped tonight at our bedroom for the next 4-5 nights in Murfreesboro TN.  And here we are, glad to be out of that damn box for awhile, and settled in for our first night of the 2015 ASCA Nationals.

It's been a good trip.  Happy trails and trials, and sweet dreams to the Best Road Dogs ever.
