Doin' the Worky Worky Thing

Vixen's been in heat, so the girls have spent long days in lockdown at the house while I'm at work. Generally, Friday's are light days in the office as some of us have every other Friday off.  When I asked about bringing in the girls, the few that would be there said 'yes, please!'  Once I get them past the initial excitement and settled in, they're very good girls.  

We're here to serve!

Baby gate up, water bowl down.  What's next?

Yogurt!  Damn!

Oh!  Yes!  We can help wash your breakfast bowl!  We'll get right on that!

Is there more?

This task is done.  You can check it off your list.

We like work!  What's next?  Do others needs their dishes washed?  Trash cans cleaned?

Break time!  Off we go for a stroll in the surrounding neighborhood.  

Mom thinks it's a power walk.  She likes us to pull when going uphill.  

We think it's a read all the p-mails walk.  So many.  

So much juicy gossip in front of these Victorian homes and their lush gardens.  

She let us reply to a few, so we let her take a nice picture.

Back to work for a game of fetch with a holy roller, being cheered on by the people, followed by a snooze while Mom stared at the light box and tapped the desk.   Wakey wakey!  Harness on!  Leash connected!  A lunch time stroll!!!  YES!!!

Why can't we pee on it?

And downtown we go.  People.  Dogs.  Water bowls.  Sidewalk cafes.  Musicians. Bookshops.  Antique shops.  Antique dogs.  Wait.  What??

Firetrucks, out of their barn for service and inspection.  Wait!  What??  Firetrucks?

Ooooo ... where are the firemen?  Because we hot.

A stop at the Civic.  This place is so cool.  Lyle Lovett ... roller derby ... symphonies ... 

a bazillion footsteps to sniff from a bazillion years of stuff.

When is the dog show?

Just read War and Peace.  Next?

A quick visit to the library, where we read a few books because we Aussies are smarter than the average bear.  Mental stimulation is important to our well-being.  As is posing.

And back to the office for more fetch and a nap.  She's right.  Work wears you out!  

Gotta get our beauty rest for Friday night.
