Taking a trip ...

Sitting in a room full of women last Saturday morning, I listened as one said she no longer gets 'wrapped around the axle ... her knickers in a knot ... panties in a twist'.  Made me smile.  I've got a ways to go - again - before I'm that unaffected by life's events and people's ways.  It was a much-needed reminder.  I always have a choice.  And self-reproach doesn't help.  Progress not perfection.

I am not - gratefully - wrapped, knotted or twisted at the moment.  I have been - however - in a bit of over overwhelm.  It's  now early Tuesday morning, and my flight leaves for Arkansas in less than two hours.   I sit in Mona's house, waiting for my pre-dawn ride.  What a friend she is.

It was a packed weekend - Saturday I went to the aforementioned women's group, got the CRV washed, returned it to Mona in Saratoga, joined her and Doug for lunch, and drove back over Hwy 9 with Marcia.  Thanks for letting me 'store' the CRV for so long, Doug & Mona.  And thanks for the ride, Marcia.  Glad you enjoyed the beauty of Hwy 9.  It's always good to know alternative routes up here in the mountains.  Door-to-door, my house to Mona's, is about 40 minutes.  Did some chores, watched part of a video, called it good.

Sunday I paid bills, looked at October's Nationals trip alternatives, and as it got hotter, piled the dogs in the truck to run a few errands and head to the river.

Ended up on a hike in Felton , up a hill to the top and around and back down.  From shady spot to shady spot.  The girls loved it ... heat and all.  I figured the river would be jam-packed with kids, so headed home for cool baths instead.  What? Baths??

Hey LADY!!!  This is NOT A RIVER!!!

Post-bath par-tay ...

Finished packing a few days of dog meals and watched the rest of the video.  This 'n' that.

Monday - trained the new buyer again while the boss is on vacation, back home, finished packing and headed back to Mona's for the night.  The siblings are thrilled to be at Camp Nichols again!!  Thank you, Mona!!!

Showtime ...
